Jay has 45 years of executive management experience in technology, media and software companies.

His businesses have raised substantial amounts of capital while leading the creation of initial and secondary public offerings, venture capital, debt and private equity financing.
He has served on 31 boards of directors and has served as advisor for dozens of high tech businesses. He has also served on numerous non-profit boards including the Presbyterian Foundation. For 20 years, he was primarily a senior executive in turnaround situations in information technology, telecommunication and cloud based software companies. Most recently, he headed up mergers and acquisitions for a small public company.

Mr. Hill was CEO, President and a Director of LightPort Advisors, Inc, a private Internet service provider for the financial services market. He has held similar positions with Unitron Medical Communications, Inc. and Amnet Corporation (Netlink), and has held senior sales and marketing management positions with SunCoast Environmental Controls, Technology Research Corporation, Harris Corporation, Doelz Networks, Paradyne/AT&T, Inforex and VillageEDOCS. He recently served as interim CEO of Suncoast Solutions, a software company that services Hospice and Home Health agencies.

Currently, he serves as Of Counsel with the Hughes Media Law Group, PLLC, a patent broker with Tangible IP, and the principal attorney in the Myricks Law Group. In his current roles, his practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications on inventions in the electrical and software art fields involving computer software systems, computer networks, multimedia systems, gaming applications and Internet e-commerce applications. He counsels business owners and inventors on patent portfolio management, patent infringement, patent invalidity, intellectual property and technology licensing, and related strategic business matters. In addition, Mr. Myricks has significant experience drafting and negotiating technology and intellectual property license agreements, software license agreements, technology transfer agreements, joint venture agreements, and technology development and distribution agreements. He has also consulted extensively on transfer pricing issues, intellectual property migration strategies, and the valuation of intellectual property assets.

He is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and a registered patent agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Washington, in the District of Columbia and before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He maintains active memberships with the Washington State Bar Association, the King County Bar Association, and the Washington State Patent Law Association. He is also the former Chair of the Seattle Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society.
